Carol Gee is a lawyer with over 20 years of experience and a Liaise trained divorce mediator.
Carol was associated with the firm of Baker & McKenzie, in their San Francisco office, after having interned in their Taipei, Taiwan office. She graduated from the University Of San Francisco School Of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 1987.
Carol is bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and conducts mediation in English or Mandarin. Carol maintains a solo legal practice specializing in business transactional matters, including business and nonprofit start-ups, corporate governance, reorganizations and contracts. She also has experience in trust and probate, real estate acquisitions/leasing, and matters of general practice.
Ms. Gee’s community involvement, besides serving as a volunteer mediator, includes membership on the pro bono panel of the Aids Legal Referral Panel, which provides free and low cost legal services for clients with HIV/AIDS, as well as having served as a board member for the Panel. She has participated in the Home Equity Fraud Prevention Program of the Bar Association of San Francisco and in the Bar Association’s speakers’ bureau, which organizes attorneys to give presentations to public school classes. Carol has served on the Board of Governors of the University Of San Francisco School Of Law (“USFSOL”), has been active in the U.S.F. Women Lawyers’ Committee and has served as mentor for both law students and L.L.M. students at USFSOL. She served as an arbitrator for the Homeless Shelter Arbitration Project, which was organized in conjunction with the City and County of San Francisco. Ms. Gee was also a member of the board of directors of Chinese Newcomers Service Center.
